Find out how much fare Gujarat government will run government buses: Private bus operators' plans backfired

A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel to reach out to the natives of Saurashtra and the people living in Surat. In the beginning, more than 200 government buses have been shown to run from Surat to the people of Saurashtra.

Only one way fare will be charged from those who want to go home. Private buses cost Rs. It has announced a fare of Rs 1,000 and now there is a possibility of charging Rs 500 to Rs 550 for travel in ST.

It is to be mentioned that even during the Diwali season, last year the government made such a decision and saved the public from looting. Taking advantage of the lockdown, private bus operators decided on 1000 to 1500 seats and decided to make money. But as soon as the Gujarat government announced the allotment of ST buses, the intention of the private transport operators has backfired.

Individuals wishing to move from Surat to another district will have to form a group of 30 persons and submit the list to Surat ST Depot. Tourists will have to pay a single fare. All types of permissions will be taken by the ST department. At the same time, all the policy rules announced by the government for travel must be followed.

The meeting was attended by Cabinet Minister Ganpat Vasava, Minister Ishwar Patel, Minister Kumar Kanani and Collector in Surat. Besides, collectors and ministers of other districts including Dahod, Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Bhavnagar were present in the meeting. The meeting was held by video conference.
