Statue of Unity: Tourists to see more attractions in Kevadia.

On Friday, the first day of his two-day visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several tourism-related development projects near the 'Statue of Unity' in Kevadia in Narmada district and took stock of them. Late in the evening, PM Modi inaugurated the Cactus Garden in Kevadia and visited the Unity Glow Ground. At the same time, the PM inaugurated a decorative light system specially designed for Sardar Sarovar Dam from the statue of Kevadia. Earlier, the Prime Minister reached Kevadia in Narmada district and first inaugurated the Arogya Forest near the 'Statue of Unity'.

He also observed it with Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Medicinal plants have been planted in 15 acres in Arogya Forest. It has five lakh trees of 380 species.  It was developed keeping in mind Yoga and Ayurveda.  Modi also visited the health cottages built in this forest area.

  The Prime Minister also inaugurated Ekta Mall, Nutrition Park for children, 'Jungle Safari' at Sardar Patel Zoo and Ekta Cruise.  After inaugurating a special store 'Ekta Mall' near the 'Statue of Unity', the Prime Minister spent some time near the stall set up to sell traditional handicraft products from Jammu and Kashmir and the North East.

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Ekta Cruise Service.  He rode it with Governor Devvrat and Chief Minister Rupani and traveled to the 'Statue of Unity' and observed the beautiful scenery.  Through Ekta Cruise Service, tourists can cover a distance of six kilometers from Shrestha Bharat Bhavan to the ‘Statue of Unity’ in the river Narmada through the ferry boat service.

  At the same time, they will be able to enjoy the beautiful view of the 'Statue of Unity'.  The journey will be completed in 40 minutes, with a maximum of 200 passengers on a boat.  The new Gora Bridge is specially designed for ferry services.  The purpose of launching the boat service is to give the experience of boating services to the tourists visiting the 'Statue of Unity'.

 Kevadia Colony of Narmada district is being developed as a world class tourist destination.  Within a radius of 100 km of the world's tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, the state government will complete more than 2 dozen projects at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore, including an ideal village of 400 houses.  In the evening, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the jungle safari.  This jungle safari will be spread over 375 acres in which 1100 species of birds and more than 100 species of wild animals will be kept.

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday gave the green signal to 'Ekta Cruise Service'.  Ferry service will be available from Shrestha Bharat Bhavan to the Statue of Unity at Kevadia.

 Earlier, after inaugurating, PM Modi visited Sardar Patel Zoo in Kevadia.  Earlier, PM Modi reached Kevadia in Narmada district, inaugurated 'Ekta Mall' and 'Children Nutrition Park' after 'Healthy One' and also rode 'Nutri Train'.  The 'Children's Nutrition Park' has been built in 35000 square meters to provide nutritional information to the children through games and toys. There is also a 'Nutri Train' for the children to walk in this park.
