Admission will be given in the second engineering course in between the study of Khushkhabar

There is good news for students studying engineering or going for admission.  The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has allowed students to change branches in the midst of BTech studies.  Notice of colleges has been issued.  At the same time, the council has enacted some other rules of lateral entry.  The AICTE said in announcing the organ that students were demanding it and the council had received several applications.

The presentation was made before the Executive Committee of AICTE.

The committee, while approving it, said that students who want to change their engineering branch between BTech or BTech BE Course, the technical institute can facilitate to do so.

 What is the rule

Students taking admission in the second course / branch do not have to re-study the part of the course which they have done during the course of the first branch.  Because the course requires practicals, students have to take admission as a regular student during lateral entry in any institution or university.

Apart from this, AICTE has extended the duration of additional degree courses from two years to three years.  According to the council, the time limit of the course has been extended so that there is no compromise on credit in the core discipline.  Necessary credits are completed.
