The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was launched to provide houses to the economically weaker sections.  The central government started this scheme in the year 2015.  The main objective of this scheme is to provide home to everyone by the year 2022.  This housing scheme covers everyone living in slums or slum houses.

 Here's how you can apply for PM accommodation:

 The government has created a mobile based housing app to apply under PM Awas Grameen.  This application can be easily downloaded from Google Play Store.  After downloading this application, you have to create a login ID using your mobile number.  This application will then send a one time password to your mobile number.  After logging in using this password you will need to fill in the required information.  The Central Government selects the beneficiaries after applying for a house under PMAY.  The final list of beneficiaries is then posted on the PMAYG website.
